Job Details

The COVID Marshal will provide a customer-facing ambassadorial service that helps residents and visitors in East Staffordshire to adhere to national guidance on COVID-19 such as social distancing and wearing of face masks.

The post holder will provide a visible presence on the streets of East Staffordshire and provide guidance to members of the public in relation to the current pandemic regulations. The post holder must also record and identify locations that make social distancing difficult and highlight breaches of the regulations to the appropriate enforcement authority. Cleaning of regular touch points, using the provided materials, will also be part of the role.

You must have experience of working in a local authority enforcement environment (or similar) and have worked with residents, community groups and the public (or similar).

You will have worked in a customer service or customer facing role

This is a Casual role, working on an as and when required basis, therefore the working hours and days are flexible and may be up to 37 hours per week. These hours will vary from week to week.

The post will be offered on a temporary basis for an initial 4 month period.

The COVID Marshals will work in partnership with the Council's Community & Civil Enforcement Team on a rota system which will include weekend work.
