Start date: Required as soon as possible- a teaching assistant to support an individual child with complex needs.
Salary: Teaching Assistant Scale 1
Location: Worcestershire
Contract type: Fixed Term – to 31st July 2020, in the first instance.
Lickey Hills Primary School and Nursery has a strong and successful commitment to providing a challenging and appropriate education to meet the needs of all pupils in a highly inclusive environment. We are looking for a skilled teaching assistant to support the development of an individual with additional needs. Please note the contract will initially be for a fixed term until the end of the Summer Term 2020 when it will be reviewed.
We are looking for a teaching assistant who can:
● Implementing individual behaviour plans set by teachers and/or Senior Leader
● Undertake activities necessary to meet the educational, physical social and emotional needs of an individual
● Promote and encourage participation and engagement in activities and routines, supporting integration into class.
● Supervise the activities of an individual to ensure their safety and that of others whilst providing opportunities to develop skills to enable them to better manage their behaviour.
● Communicate effectively with colleagues, parents and other agencies.
The successful candidate will have experience of working with children with behavioural needs and training in positive handling is desirable.
