Tameside Primary Academy is part of the Shireland Collegiate Academy Trust providing staff with opportunities to progress both within the school, and across the Trust. Tameside is a large family orientated school with the advantage of being the second primary academy across this growing organisation.

The successful candidate will:
• have high expectations of achievement, attainment and behaviour
• have an excellent understanding of high quality EYFS provision
• lead by example, inspiring and motivating children and colleagues
• support the Principal in implementing the school vision
• play an active role in the school leadership team
• develop, support and lead teaching & learning in the academy.

Key Responsibilities:
• In partnership with the principal and SLT, establish and implement an ambitious, world class vision and ethos for the future of the academy
• Have a range of recent experience teaching within the early years/ primary age range
• Be an excellent role model, exemplifying a high standard of teaching, and promoting high expectations for all.
• Have an excellent knowledge and understanding of what makes an early years’ provision outstanding in practice and outcomes.
• Be able to draw upon research and awareness of excellent practice

• Fully support the development of a working ethos which enables everyone to work collaboratively, share knowledge and understanding, celebrate success and accept responsibility for outcomes
• Create, maintain and enhance effective relationships with the ability to challenge, empower, inspire and motivate others
• Keep abreast of the latest developments in early years’ practice, educational research and initiatives.
• Acknowledge the responsibilities and celebrate the achievements of individuals and teams
• Be an excellent role model for both staff and pupils in terms of being reflective and demonstrating a desire to improve and learn.
• Develop and maintain a culture of high expectations for self and others

• Regularly review own practice, set personal targets and take responsibility for own professional development
