Head of Adult Learning & Skills

Salary:  £52,860- £57,056 per annum

 37 Hours per week – Permanent

We are looking for a talented professional to lead our Adult Learning & Skills service as part of the Council’s Skills & Employability Team. 

Experience of working in a comparable organisation, college or training provider is required along with both teaching experience and a recognised qualification in this area. We are particularly interested in candidates who have experience of developing the curriculum for delivering on-line learning programmes. 

Within this role you must be ambitious for our learners, courageous in planning and delivering a modern and digital curriculum and be able to lead and empower our staff to succeed in improving the skills and careers of our residents.

In this role you will lead the planning, commissioning and delivery of our learning & skills provision through our own team and a range of providers. You will also be our designated Safeguarding lead and nominee for Ofsted inspection.

You will also have strong influencing and communication skills and be able to work in partnership with a range of stakeholders and providers, including the Local Enterprise Partnership, to develop the Staffordshire adult learning & skills provider market to meet local employer needs and the County Councils priorities.
