Operational Manager
Permanent 37 hours Monday to Friday
Provider Services – Reablement Service (Homecare)
Based at Wildwood
Salary: £32,234 - £34,728

We have recently re-organised our Homecare Service to focus on short term services aimed at maximising people’s independence (Reablement). As part of this we have reviewed the management requirements and we are now recruiting to a new post of Operational Manager.

The Operational Manager will oversee the functions of the team which support service delivery. This will include key performance indicators, quality assurance and data management, to support the Registered Managers to make decisions about areas of focus for continuous improvement.
As part of this role, you will be required to create, maintain and use systems and processes which will enable you to produce reports highlighting areas of focus.

You will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders. This part of the role is essential to enable the service to respond to demand from a number of referral pathways, including hospital discharges, community reablement, Prisons and urgent and unplanned support requirements.

The service is busy, and as such you will be required to provide support to the Registered Managers at times of peak demand, as well as to Registered Managers in the wider Provider Services.
You will also be responsible for the line management of a group of staff including Supervisors, Therapists, Social Care Worker and Relief Pool Coordinator.

We are looking for somebody who can prioritise their workload within a busy and demanding service area. You will need to have experience of managing people and office systems, along with experience of work in a Health and Social care setting.

Experience of creating, compiling and writing reports is necessary for this role, along with experience of engaging, and negotiating with stakeholders who may have different priorities. You will need to have the ability to form effective working relationships with a variety of both internal and external contacts.
In return you will be supported in your role by your line manager through one to one meetings and performance reviews, team meetings and other corporate wellbeing tools. You will be encouraged and supported to complete any formal accredited qualifications, and you will have a personal development plan to support you in developing towards any personal career aspirations. You will also receive 5 weeks annual leave in addition to Bank Holidays, rising to 6 weeks after 5 years’ service, and access to the Local Government Pension Scheme.

If you are interested in this role, please submit an application detailing how you meet the requirements of the role. You should refer to the attached Job Description and Person Specification to support this.

Closing Date: Wednesday 4th November 2020 at 12:00pm (Noon)

Interviews will take place week commencing Friday 6th November 2020.

If you have any queries regarding this post, please contact Debbie Bell on 01905 822876.
