In recent years Dudley MBC and its partners have been successful in attracting significant funding to regenerate the town centre with multiple projects with a build value in excess of £500 million. In response to this level of funding and the demands placed on the Council’s regeneration team this has led to the creation of a new PROJECT AND DELIVERY service in March 2019. The key purpose of the team is co-ordinate the delivery of a portfolio of six major capital redevelopment and infrastructure within Dudley Town Centre 

1. Metro Extension from Wednesbury to Brierley Hill
2. Dudley Interchange
3. Very Light Railway Innovation Centre and test track
4. Portersfield mixed use development
5. The Black Country and Marches Institute of Technologies
6. Black Country Living Museum 

Hours:  37 per week

Salary:  Grade 10

To support on the management and delivery of Project Management services for major regeneration projects including managing external multi-disciplinary project teams and external contractors to deliver projects on time, within budget, project plans, milestones, interdependencies, project risks and post project evaluation.

To work with internal and external partners, the council’s senior leadership team and elected members on the co-ordination and deliver of major projects

To monitor and manage funding of major projects where DMBC are the funder and/or the guarantor

Under the direction of the Head of Service (Projects & Delivery) to provide PM support on key regeneration projects, leading on, project plans, milestones, interdependencies, project risks and post project evaluation.

The council has a contractual 3 days mandatory unpaid leave which, for the majority of services, are fixed at the Christmas period.  This represents a pay deduction of 1.15% in return for which employees are afforded three days unpaid leave (pro-rata for part time staff).
