Full time, Term Time

The Governors at Allesley Primary School are looking to appoint a highly motivated Teaching Assistant or a Newly Qualified Teacher to lead specific learning activities and academic interventions. This role has been created to accelerate pupil’s learning following the disruption caused by the COVID-19 pandemic with the aim of ensuring that all pupils are able to succeed and able to reach their full potential.

The successful candidate will work alongside class teachers from across the school to plan targeted catch-up interventions for small groups of children. In this role, you will need to be highly organised in order to plan, deliver and track the progress of children’s interventions and to work with the class teachers to demonstrate children’s academic progress.

This role would be particularly suited to and NQT or someone who is interested in pursuing a career in teaching. You will have the ability to communicate effectively with small groups of pupils aged 4-11 building solid foundations in literacy and numeracy.

The role requires excellent communication skills, drive and motivation to make the interventions as effective as possible in supporting children. You must be self-motivated and also work collaboratively with class teachers across the school.

Starting Date: November / December 2020
