Job Details
Sandwell Young Carers is looking to recruit short term workers to assist in supporting young carers during COVID lockdown.
The charity is currently providing virtual activities and support to young carers using video communications. If you have the capacity to work from home in a confidential environment and would like to join the team in a recovery program then apply now.
We are looking to recruit;
Support Worker - £20,452pa (37 hours per week)
The post holder will be required to manage a case load, provide holistic family support for young carers and work in partnership with professionals from health, education and social care to achieve that.
This post is funded until 31 March 2021 from the Coronavirus Community Support Fund, distributed by The National Lottery Community Fund. Thanks to the Government for making this possible.
Entertainers -Youth and Play Leaders - £8.72 per hour (2 / 3 hours per week)
We are searching for people who are able to entertain, engage and support children and young people whilst they enjoy Virtual Play and Youth Sessions through cloud Video Systems (Zoom).
The role requires you to join colleagues on the virtual platform in providing fun and entertaining activities that will offer young carers a distraction from their caring role, a chance to communicate with other members, and reduce the feelings of isolation felt by many at present.
All of the above positions require the post holders to be flexible, sensitive, child-centred, trustworthy and reliable, have experience of working with both children and young people and able to work to the organisation’s policies and procedures.
The organisation will be closing these vacancies on receipt of suitable applications. Therefore, it is recommended that if you are interested, to complete and submit an application with immediate effect.
You can do this by emailing ellen.hardwick@sandwellyc.org.uk for an application pack, stating the vacancy you are applying for. You are required to complete an application for each post that you are applying for.
We regret to advise that we are only accepting online applications at present to prevent delay in appointments
