Educational Psychologists (EP) and

Specialist Senior Educational Psychologists (SSEP) Warwickshire

 EP - Soulbury A (3-8 + up to 3 SPAs)     SSEP - Soulbury B (2-5 + up to 3 SPAs)

Vacancies: Across Warwickshire we have a range of permanent full-time or part-time posts available. We are looking for mainscale Educational Psychologists (EP) and Specialist Senior Educational Psychologists (SSEP) to fulfil specialist roles in the areas of SEMH, early intervention and early years, social communication needs and preparing for adulthood.

Warwickshire Educational Psychology Service (EPS) is a community focussed service, which strives for inclusion by removing barriers. We have continued to thrive and further develop our offer, despite the COVID-19 context, and have maintained our well-founded reputation for supporting settings and other services. We have developed innovative ways of delivering support to parents/carers, children/young people, schools and other settings and continue to focus on gaining positive outcomes for Warwickshire’s children, young people and families.

We are a strong, vibrant and expanding service working across five teams in three

geographical areas, and accessible to over 250 education providers. Each team is led by a Senior Educational Psychologist. All schools have a named link EP and the range of work undertaken across teams is hugely varied. We have increasing strategic engagement, with commissions from within the local authority, with Warwickshire’s range of ‘education providers’ and with other settings.

We place a high value on work-life balance. We have always had the opportunity to work from home (pre-Covid), to access non-designated office bases and to work flexible hours. We have very successfully developed a range of virtual working practices which has increased our flexibility further.

EPs in Warwickshire say: ‘I have always felt welcomed, actively included and supported….’, ‘my professional skills go from strength to strength’, ‘I love the range of opportunities open to all: virtual school, trauma informed and attachment aware training, neurodevelopment team in CAMHs, In Year Fair Access’, ‘this EPS stands out to me because of the cohesive nature of the teams’, ‘I like the flexibility of work, and of working’, ‘the consultative emphasis of the service, using tools such as Circle of Adults’.

Would you like to join us?

  • If you want to be challenged to apply educational psychology to facilitate and coach improved outcomes across a variety of traded and statutory clients;
  • If you want to work in a supportive, flexible, responsive, and ethically driven working environment; and,
  • If you want to work in partnership with EP colleagues and others on a range of projects of interest, then please apply!

 Key Skills and Experience: We need motivated, enthusiastic, skilled, creative and successful EPs able to improve outcomes for children, young people and families through individual, group, and system level activity, and through research and project work. You need to be a reflective practitioner, resilient, solution orientated, and an excellent communicator. You must be HCPC registered, awaiting confirmation of HCPC registration, or on a recognised professional educational psychology training course.

Applicants for a Specialist Senior Educational Psychologist post are expected to have a minimum of 2 years post qualification work as an EP.
