Based in Telford this post offers a diverse range of work as part of an innovative and forward thinking team that regenerates the Borough, creating employment space and improving neighbourhoods.
Working in our highly innovative and motivated Regeneration & Investment Team, our Business Support Officer will provide excellent support to customers and a team of surveyors.
Estates and Investments is part of Telford and Wrekin Council's Prosperity and investments team.
We act as commercial agents, managing the Council's considerable property investment portfolio (PIP) comprising 600 commercial properties including shops, offices and industrial units.
The team also manage a wide variety of public land (Council and Homes England owned) for employment and residential development including bringing forward relevant planning applications, site infrastructure and ultimate disposal of sites.
You will require a minimum of 5 GCSEs including English and Maths or NVQ Level 2 and a knowledge of the property industry would be a benefit.
You should be able to demonstrate good communication skills including the use of social media.
Experience of working in a busy office environment is desirable.
You should have the ability to accurately input data into data bases and be able to demonstrate good IT skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint.
