The City of Wolverhampton Council is seeking a Project Officer to support the delivery of its Digital Programme.

The City of Wolverhampton is committed to supporting the rollout of future-proofed digital infrastructure in order to make the city a more attractive place to live, run a business and invest. Wolverhampton Digital Infrastructure Strategy sets out our approach to supporting the rollout of full fibre broadband and wireless connectivity including 5G.

The post will also support the broader digital programme including digital inclusion, skills and economy. The post will also support the delivery of a new device and connectivity lending scheme as part of the City’s ambition to be 100% digitally included.

We recognise that future proofed Digital infrastructure is the backbone of a modern thriving economy driving productivity and spreading growth and in delivering effective and efficient public services. Covid-19 accelerated the adoption of digital services which are considered critical to level-up our economy contributing to our Relighting our City recovery commitment.

The post will sit within the Strategic Projects and Funding team and be responsible to the Strategic Projects and Funding Manager/ Digital Co-ordinator. The post will assist the Digital Co-ordinator in the effective delivery of Digital Projects and Programmes.
