Valley Primary School is a happy, vibrant school. Our vision is ASPIRE for excellence, ENJOY learning, ACHIEVE success and CHALLENGE ourselves further. This runs through everything that we do within school and we have high expectations for our children. We are seeking to appoint a committed, enthusiastic and positive play practitioner to join our team of friendly, experienced staff in our before and after school club, Valley Explorer’s.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising the children in the before and after school club, delivering/collecting children from class or to their parents and assisting in the preparation and delivery of safe, creative and appropriate play opportunities. You will be expected to deal with basic first aid, manage behaviour in line with school policy, and supervise a range of activities to keep children positively engaged in play.

The hours for this role will be: Monday – Friday: 08.00-09.00 and 15.00-17.00 with an additional half an hour each day for setting up and tidying up. Previous experience is not necessary but is desirable and you will need to be reliable and dedicated. You must have an interest in working with children and be an excellent role model. A good attendance record is a must. We provide an inclusive learning community where every child really does matter.

Valley Primary School is committed to safeguarding children; successful candidates will be subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check and will be required to disclose all relevant information for appropriate safeguarding checks.

Please note we are unable to accept CV’s.

An informal conversation with the Explorer’s Manager for more information about the role can be arranged upon request. To apply, please download the job description and person specification here.

Completed applications should be sent to recruitment@valley.solihull.sch.uk for the attention of Miss S Milewski, Headteacher.

This post will require an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring check.

Please note we do not accept CVs.
