Housing Support Officer
The Housing Support Team exists to provide a comprehensive housing support service to residents within Dudley MBC with identified support needs. To enable them to maintain their home and to encourage and facilitate the residents’ independence, quality of life, health and well being.
Within Housing Support we now provide a number of services including Floating Support, Drop In services, Pre Tenancy Workshops & Employability.
We are currently looking to recruit a Housing Support Officer to work within our Drop In service on a 1 year contract to cover maternity leave.
Hours: 37 per week
Salary: Grade 7
Location: Harbour Buildings, Waterfront West, Brierley Hill, DY5 1LN
To provide a comprehensive housing support service to Dudley MBC residents with identified support needs. To enable the residents to manage their home and to encourage and facilitate the residents’ independence, quality of life, health and well being.
The successful candidate will:
Have proven experience of providing housing related support.
Have a sound working knowledge of welfare benefits.
Have experience of team and partnership working.
To be able to provide a flexible and committed approach to working hours and patterns when required to do so.

The council has a contractual 3 days mandatory unpaid leave which, for the majority of services, are fixed at the Christmas period. This represents a pay deduction of 1.15% in return for which employees are afforded three days unpaid leave (pro-rata for part time staff).Supporting documents
