Telephone Number: 0121 323 2221 Email Address: recruitment@atlp.org.uk

Required 4th January 2021

Full time 37.00 hours per week, all year round contract

The Arthur Terry Learning Partnership is a highly successful Multi Academy Trust (MAT) encompassing 5 secondary schools, 9 primary schools, soon to be 10, Teaching School, and SCITT.  Our schools are based in North Birmingham, Tamworth, Lichfield and North Warwickshire. Our academies are quite distinctive and separate schools, serving different communities and phases but all either are, or have the capacity to become, outstanding.

We have an exciting opportunity for two experienced and highly motivated Mobile Site Assistants to work across our partnership schools, supporting our Operations & Estates team with a wide range of site, health and safety and estates functions. All our schools and centres depend heavily upon the Operations & Estates team and site staff, to support safe, compliant and effective whole school operation and fundamentally, to ensure effective environments to support teaching and learning. Providing a first class, effective and efficient, Operations & Estates support service and effective health and safety management must be a key priority for the successful candidate. Whilst experience in an education setting would be useful it is not essential.  More importantly, you will need to demonstrate your background experience, resilience, and interpersonal skills.  You should have excellent communication skills as you will be liaising with a wide range of staff across the Trust on a daily basis. The successful candidates will undertake caretaking, cleaning and site maintenance duties, including responding to emergencies and maintaining security at any of the ATLP school sites, as directed by the ATLP Operations and Estates Team. The successful applicants will be required to work at any establishment which forms part of the Learning Partnership, whether current or future, on a temporary or permanent basis, according to the needs of the Learning Partnership as part of our Learning Partnership arrangements.

Own transport, with business insurance, is essential and appropriate car mileage will be paid. This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to speak fluent English is an essential requirement of the role.

Closing Date: 23/11/2020, 9:00am

Date of Interviews: to be confirmed

For enquires about the role please contact: Michelle Doughty, Director of Operations and Estates on 0121 323 1133 or 07976 516098. Applications forms and further information can be obtained from www.atlp.org.uk or download here.

Completed application forms should be emailed to recruitment@atlp.org.uk

Candidates are encouraged to submit their applications as soon as possible as we reserve the right to interview earlier and withdraw the advert if a suitable candidate is appointed.

Despite the challenges we face, recruitment will continue for all ATLP vacancies over the coming weeks. We intend to continue to adhere to the government’s social distancing guidelines but we will use a range of virtual platforms to conduct online interviews and other activities where appropriate for the nature of the role in a timely manner. Informal discussions prior to applying for roles are warmly welcomed. Please note we do not accept CV’s, applications will only be considered if received on an ATLP application form.

This school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expect all staff and to share this commitment. The successful candidate will be subject to necessary pre-employment checks, including: an enhanced DBS; Childcare Disqualification (where applicable); qualifications (where applicable); medical fitness; identity and right to work.  All applicants will be required to provide two suitable references.

Applicants please note: This post is not part of the City Council and the successful candidate will not hold a Birmingham City Council Contract of Employment. Please use the contact details in the advert for information on actual employment conditions.
