We are looking for a Senior Learning Mentor who will lead a team of mentoring and 1:1 TA staff. In this role you will set performance targets and manage staff development within your team. The successful candidate will have experience of supporting students who have experienced challenges linked to ACEs (Adverse Childhood Experiences) and will be able to offer supportive advice and guidance to all stakeholders. The position of Senior Learning Mentor in a school for young people with additional needs requires applicants to be especially energetic, dynamic, highly motivated and have the enthusiasm to develop to the very highest of standards in their work. people. Selly Oak Trust School is a large single site Special School educating around 380 young people aged 11-19 who need additional support to access their learning. The majority of our students are academically working within the levels expected at primary school (5-11 years). Our students hold EHCP’s and have cognition and learning difficulties which impacts their understanding of the world around them. As an experienced person in supporting young people, you will motivate and inspire students to engage in learning and support us in moving the school from good to outstanding.
