We are seeking an experienced Attendance & Welfare Assistant who will have a positive impact in school. The successful candidate will facilitate the partnership between home, school, wider community and the local authority. With knowledge of attendance procedures and strategies, you will be able to manage your own caseload proactively and work effectively with the Headteacher and the Pastoral Managers. You will also be able to relate well to pupils of all ages and their parents and be able to impact positively on attitudes and behaviour in relation to attendance.
You will be required to provide high quality, well planned pastoral support and guidance to pupils and families to promote high expectations, raise aspirations and facilitate academic progress. Hodge Hill Girls’ School is a multicultural, oversubscribed girls’ school with 750 pupils on roll. We were inspected by Ofsted in March 2017 and the school was
judged as Good overall and pupil behaviour was judged to be outstanding.
Secondary School experience preferred but not essential.
This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to speak fluent and spoken English is an essential requirement for this role.
