Required for January 2021
Following a restructuring process, we are looking for somebody to join our team of staff as a First Aid Leader. We are looking for somebody who has a passion for working with children to join the Yew Tree family.
The role will work, primarily, across the lunchtime period to provide experienced and knowledgeable first aid support to the team of lunchtime staff. However, the appointed person will also take a lead in the development of first aid policy and procedures at the school. This includes checking and maintaining first aid equipment stock levels, collating training information and advising the School Business Manager of training needed and supporting the development of policy and procedures.
Ideally, the person we appoint will already be appropriately trained (i.e. First Aid at Work training and/or Paediatric First Aid training). However, we will provide training for the right candidate. Beyond this, we are looking to appoint somebody with a range of talents, experiences and skills who will offer something unique to our school community. Working at Yew Tree is more than a job; It is being a part of our family – our community!
This is an extremely exciting time to join Yew Tree as we have recently moved in to a brand new £7m building and complete grounds redevelopment. Our Head Teacher took up his position in January 2020 and is looking to build a team of people who passionately believe in our five core values (responsibility, respect, courage, ambition & pride) and our vision of ‘Learning Without Limits’ for all of our children.
We can offer the successful candidate:
- A dedicated, friendly and supportive staff.
- Enthusiastic, polite and energetic children.
- Flexible working opportunities.
- Full training and development to extend and build a range of valuable skills.
- Modern facilities and extensive grounds to inspire learning and play
Yew Tree Primary School complies with all aspects of the Equality Act and there is an expectation of all staff to also show support the protected characteristics. Any posts are subject to approval of two references and subject to any necessary safeguarding checks.
Visits welcome and can be arranged by contacting the school.
Closing date: 9.00am – Monday 23rd November 2020
Interviews: WB: 30.11.20 (TBC)
For more information on the role please refer to the Job Description and Employee Specification or contact our School Business Manager, Gareth Preen.
