Teaching Assistant (Medication/Enteral Feeds) - Fixed Term
Horton Lodge School is looking to appoint a qualified, inspiring Teaching Assistant with a specific role in assisting with pupil’s personal care needs, medication and enteral feeds.
Horton Lodge School is a Local Authority Special School for children aged 2-11years with physical disabilities and associated learning difficulties. Our students have a range of complex learning needs including cognitive, physical, sensory, emotional and health related disabilities. The primary role of the post will involve working across the school to ensure that all pupils’ medication and enteral feeds are administered appropriately.
The successful candidates will ideally have experience with administering medication and feeds. They will also truly hold the pupils’ well-being at the centre of all they do, have good interpersonal skills, high standards and expectations and an understanding of the difficulties faced by young people with disabilities.

The post is 30 hours a week (daily work hours 9am – 3:30pm), fixed term until 21st July 2021.
The successful candidate will undertake duties detailed in Teaching Assistant Job Profile AA6958 at Grade 3 term time only (SCP 3 – 4, £18,562 - £18,933 FTE).
