As Safeguarding Support Officer and DDSL, you are expected to work closely with the DSL and be confident to lead in the absence of the DSL in the following areas:

The responsibility for safeguarding and child protection across the school.

To take part in strategy discussions and inter-agency meetings and contribute to the assessment of children.

To advise and support other members of staff on child welfare and child protection matters and liaise with relevant agencies such as the local authority, police, health.
