Family Liaison Officer
Sutton is a purpose built day school for pupils aged 11-16 whose educational needs cannot adequately be met in mainstream schools. The school caters for approximately 180 pupils with a range of needs including social, emotional, communication and specific learning difficulties.
Our vision is to provide every member of the school community with the opportunity to achieve his or her true potential and ambitions through a broad, balanced curriculum matched to their individual needs including full entitlement to the National Curriculum.
We are looking to appoint a strong, enthusiastic individual to support our pupils in their development and help build their self-esteem. This will involve working with families and playing a vital role in early intervention to assist families with underachieving pupils and to support parents with early signs of emotional, social or behavioural issues. The ideal candidate will be able to establish good relationships with children and their families to enhance parental engagement with the school and other agencies.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of the children; therefore the post is subject to medical clearance and an enhanced DBS check.
