Teaching Assistant Level 1

The Role

We are looking to appoint a teaching assistant to working within policies and procedures to ensure the well-being of students and to provide appropriate care or welfare to support their needs.

To support access to learning for pupils and provide general support to the teacher in the management of pupils and the classroom.

Teaching Assistant level 1 (two term temporary contract & potentially permanent positions also).

30 hours a week, term time only plus 5 training days (39 weeks), working from 9.00am – 3.30pm each day.

The salary for the position as full time (37 hours a week for 52 weeks) would be £19,312 - £19,698. The hourly rate is £10.01 - £10.21.

Key Requirements

•GCSE A – C (or equivalent) in English and Maths
•Have experience of working (paid or unpaid) with children of appropriate age range
•Have good communication and listening skills
•Value & respect the views and needs of children and young people.
•Able to relate well to children and adults.
