Data Quality Officer

(Professional 3A) £28,672 - £30,451

This is a new role within the Strategic Hub team, working with Data Analysts to ensure effective delivery of their work plan from a data quality perspective.

The Data Quality Officer is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and consistency of data used. This involves access to large volumes of data, understanding how it is authored, tracking progress and resolving issues, within the context of an overall data process and policy. The role actively contributes to ensuring data used for strategic and operational purposes is governed in a compliant, effective and risk-based manner.

As an experienced data user and being the central point of contact for all data quality items, your work will include dealing with data queries, identifying improvements to process and providing training to data providers. We're looking for a team player who thrives in a busy environment, is proficient in the use of IT packages, has proven organisational skills, an eye for detail and excellent communication skills in person, on the phone and in writing.

Based at WMFS Headquarters, there will be travel to other WMFS premises as required.

Shortlisted applicants will be required to deliver a presentation at interview based upon their analysis of a dataset provided/completed during the week beforehand.
