Teacher of Science
Job start date: Immediate - temporary until 12th February 2021 (may be extended)
Due to the extended sickness absence of a member of staff, an immediate vacancy has arisen for a newly-qualified or experienced Teacher of Science at this highly successful school in the picturesque riverside market town of Evesham.
We require a well-qualified teacher of Science, who is committed to the highest standards of academic achievement and able to teach Science to at least GCSE Level. Although the preference is for a Physics specialist, applications would be welcomed from Chemists or Biologists.
This will be a fixed-term contract until the February half-term break, although it is possible that the contract might be extended further. Applications will be welcomed from experienced or newly qualified teachers. Although being advertised as a full-time position, part-time (0.6-1.0) would be considered.
This post provides an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to work in a large and high-performing department with supportive & caring colleagues, as well as the option to be involved in a wide range of STEM and other extra-curricular activities. As part of an eight-year £8m capital investment programme, which is due to be completed early in 2021, our Science Department has recently benefited from a £1.2m refurbishment and modernisation programme, meaning that lessons are taught in light and airy state-of-the-art laboratories and classrooms.
