Two Ofsted Survey inspections undertaken during 2014 looking at provision for the most able students, and also for alternative curriculum provision both praised the school’s ethos and its ability to deliver excellent teaching and learning to students of all abilities.
In May 2014, the school was awarded National Teaching School Status and, having been accredited with SCITT status in summer 2016, accepted its first trainees in September 2017
