Required for 1st September 2021

A rare vacancy has arisen for a well-qualified teacher of History at this highly successful school in the picturesque riverside market town of Evesham.

A full-time permanent position is available and applications will be welcomed from experienced or newly qualified teachers who are committed to the highest standards of academic achievement and able to teach the subject to A Level.   The ability to teach Citizenship or Politics would be advantageous, although not essential.  This post provides an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to work in a high-performing department with supportive & caring colleagues.

Prince Henry’s is a popular and over-subscribed 13-18 High School with approximately 1300 on roll including more than 330 in one of Worcestershire’s largest Sixth Forms. The school enjoys an excellent reputation locally and has consistently been judged outstanding by Ofsted, most recently in May 2013.  Two Ofsted Survey inspections undertaken during 2014 looking at provision for the most able students, and also for alternative curriculum provision both praised the school’s ethos and its ability to deliver excellent teaching and learning to students of all abilities.

In May 2014, the school was awarded National Teaching School Status and, having been accredited with SCITT status in summer 2016, accepted its first trainees in September 2017

Potential applicants are welcome to telephone Mr Jordan King, Head of History, Politics & Citizenship, to discuss this post or to arrange to visit the school if they wish.

Application Process:

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates (either experienced teachers or NQTs) and should be submitted using the online application form which can be accessed via the school’s website www.princehenrys.worcs.sch.uk If you have any queries regarding this vacancy, please contact the Headteacher’s PA & HR Manager, Mrs Zoe Bradley (email secretary@princehenrys.worcs.sch.uk or telephone 01386 765588).

Prince Henry's High School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This post is subject to an enhanced DBS check.

Closing date:   9.30am, Wednesday 2nd December 2020.
