We are currently recruiting for a Resident Involvement Officer

To work with tenants, leaseholders, residents, officers and elected members in developing participatory structures and facilitate the involvement of residents in helping to shape the delivery of housing and related services throughout the Borough.

To lead on engagement and promotion for the service, ensuring a consistent and professional housing brand is recognisable to the public.

We are looking to recruit a Resident Involvement Officer to work in the Communities Team in order to empower and support tenants and leaseholders to work with the Council to identify what’s important to them
The successful candidate will be required to work with a range of organisations, as well as supporting the work of other tenant groups who contribute to shaping and improving the Council’s services. They will be arranging community events, training and outreach programmes, organising meetings and dealing with a range of customer enquiries.
We are looking for someone with enthusiasm who works well within teams and who would be able to keep our involved tenants motivated and feeling valued and at the heart of all we do.
Excellent communication and customer care skills are essential for this post; along with good administration and task management. The post holder will need to be well organised, flexible and able to manage competing tasks.

 

To be successful in the role you will have;

  • Relevant experience in working with tenant/resident groups or community development work.
  • A qualification at level 2 or equivalent in a relevant subject
  • Excellent communication skills using a variety of methods dependent on the audience.
  • Sound knowledge and ability in the use of a range of computer systems, including Microsoft packages.
  • Able to produce high quality displays, promotions and publications and co-ordinate the production and distribution of such material.
