Solihull Community Housing is an Arms Length Management Organisation (ALMO) responsible for managing the property portfolio, customers and surrounding estates on behalf of Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council (SMBC).

Responsible to the Senior Project Manager you will be part of a ‘brand new’ multi-disciplined team to effectively manage and deliver Building Safety Capital Works as part of Solihull Community Housing’s (SCH) Capital Investment Works Programme. High quality customer service is an absolute pre-requisite of this role both on an individual and corporate basis. The role will be a busy and high profile one, so the ability to prioritise and effectively manage your workload are key skills for the role. You will be working with a range of contractors and external agencies so good communication and negotiation skills are essential. Technical knowledge and a good grasp of Building Safety requirements are essential for this role as well as a thorough understanding of procurement processes.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience of working on large scale projects / with customers in a busy working environment, strong financial control/budget management and the ability to operate with customer focus.

You will be supported by a new team to manage work streams from tender to completion on time, to a high quality and within budget. As a high performer, you will champion our Vision and Values and challenge the ‘status quo’ and work with the Organisation to review our current systems, processes and culture which will lead to a process of continuous improvement in the services we provide and the way we work as Team SCH.

There couldn’t be a better time to join a progressive and forward thinking organisation that operates with a financial head and a social heart.
