The Growth and Investment Team in Worcestershire County Council runs a number of projects to support business innovation, start-up and growth.

We require a Part Time Project Support Officer to help deliver business support projects within its WINN (Worcestershire Innovation) programme, specifically supporting the BetaDen element of the programme.  WINN is focussed on assisting SME’s to investigate, advance, commercialise and protect early stage innovative business ideas and support the priorities of acting as an advocate for innovation and creating a coherent, collaborative community of innovators, enablers and exploiters from across the Worcestershire business community and beyond.  BetaDen is Worcestershire’s first Tech Accelerator based at Malvern Hill Science Park, further details with regards to the WINN programme and BetaDen can be found on the website: https://winn-hub.com/

If you have experience of delivering and monitoring externally and publicly funded projects and an appreciation of issues affecting small and medium sized businesses within an innovation ecosystem, then this post could be for you.

The successful applicant will support the delivery of projects for Worcestershire wide business support projects run by Worcestershire County Council and delivered with partners. The projects will support economic growth in Worcestershire's small and medium sized enterprises.

As part of a supportive team, you will work alongside colleagues delivering WINN activities, specifically supporting the BetaDen element, including  the administration of business support and grant funding.
The post is fixed term until end of June 2023 and is part funded by the European Regional Development Fund.

Worcestershire County Council operates a policy of flexible working and staff regularly work from home or an alternative work base, typically two days per week or 40% of their working hours. The location of the post is to be Worcester and Malvern Hills Science Park as required by the programme.  The split of days worked within the 18hrs can be agreed.
