An exciting opportunity is available for a Facilities Manager to join our school and work as part of our Business Support Team. you will be responsible for the day-to-day management and maintenance of all facilities management estates and services at our school site. We are looking for a committed, energetic, creative, and inspirational person who should be self-motivated, flexible, highly organised, and reliable. The successful candidate will have well-developed communication, interpersonal and prioritisation skills and positive 'can-do’ approach, you will have experience of managing a team in a facilities environment, you will be able to produce and analyse data and making appropriate recommendations.

The successful candidate will:

  • Contributie to the overall/ethos/work/aims of the organisation
  • Lead and manage the site staff and site contractors, including cleaners (via a managed service)
  • Be accountable for the general maintenance and upkeep of the site and buildings, managing building/repair works in liaison with the school business manager, keeping appropriate logs, records, and reports
  • Take responsibility for the security of the site from the start to the end of the school day
  • Take a lead role in Health and Safety
  • Ensure organisational procedures and legal requirements are adhered to in relation to discrimination legislation and equal opportunities and that all people are treated in a way that respects their abilities, background, values, customs and beliefs
  • Be a part of the business support management team
