Complaints Officer (SEND)

Salary:  £32,234 to £36,922 per annum

 37 Hours per week – Fixed Term Contract until August 2021 with a possibility of extending until December 2021.

The Complaints Team is responsible for the operation of certain procedures in order to deal with formal complaints from members of the public.  The Team ensures compliance with the Council’s statutory obligations, corporate accountabilities and Ombudsman directives in respect of services we provide and commission.

We are looking to recruit a Complaints Officer to undertake Stage 1 complaints and investigations relating to SEND Assessment & Planning.   In order to achieve the best outcome in terms of both the resolution of customer complaints and the identification and suggested improvements in service delivery.

This post will also be responsible for responding to non-standard enquiries from a range of stakeholders including MP’s and other local representatives relating to SEND Assessment and Planning.  Also Freedom of Information Requests.
