If so this may be the perfect opportunity for you in a new and unique social work team.  

We are looking for several experienced social workers to join our new Peripatetic Team at Worcestershire Children First.

This is an opportunity for a social worker who has significant front-line experience who wants to be challenged by undertaking a varied range of social work tasks within the different range of social work teams for WCF. This includes Contact and Referral, duty and assessment, locality Safeguarding, Through Care, Kinship and Fostering

The work of the Peripatetic team will be to move across the service adding support to teams where capacity needs to be increased for a time limited period.  This may be as an individual social worker or as a team unit dependent upon demand and requirements. You will be in a small team of peers with a permanent Team Manager with responsibility for overseeing the work.

This is a diverse and unique job for the right person that requires a flexible, responsive and adaptable practitioner who can skilfully move between teams responding competently to the statutory requirements within each of the varying roles.

Salary up to £41,728 plus £3,000 welcome payment*
