LEARNING SUPPORT ASSISTANT

Scale Point 1 (+ SEN Allowance for 1-1)

Start date:  JANUARY 2021 - Temporary - Contract linked to two children in our Nursery

30 hours per week - Monday to Friday - 8.30am to 3pm (30 minute lunch break)

Working one to one to support two children with significant needs

• Have experience of supporting individual needs.
• Have recent experience of working within an Early Years setting
• Demonstrate a good level of English and Maths, with GCSE qualification graded A-C, or equivalent
• Have the ability to confidently follow planning and adapt, where necessary, to support children’s individual needs.
• Be a team player, who is committed to their own professional development
• Support the Christian ethos of our school
• Have working knowledge of safeguarding practices

  Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting two individual children with significant needs (different days)
• Ensuring their safety within the nursery environment
• Engaging in all activities
• Motivating and encouraging pupils
• Supporting learning and achievement of specific targets
