Job Details

We are looking for a committed and hardworking social care professionals to bring your experience, skills, and attributes to make a difference to the lives of the people of Sandwell.

You will need to be motivated and flexible with high professional standards and sound knowledge and experience of current legislation including the Care Act 2014, Continuing Health Care, Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act 2005, and Community DOLS.

It is a requirement of this role to hold a degree in Social Work, Dip SW, CQSW or equivalent.

You will be expected to work with vulnerable adults with mental health issues, learning disability, physical disability, older people and their carers. You will need to be confident in undertaking safeguarding investigations, mental capacity assessments and best interest decisions, carrying out outcome focused assessments and with support planning. You will be expected to work with a diverse group of individuals and with our partner agencies.

You will be given robust induction, ample training opportunities and regular supervision and excellent career development opportunities. We have agile working facilities and flexible working policies in place. You will be working within a friendly, diverse and supportive team.

An Adults Enhanced Disclosure and Barring (DBS) check will be required for this role.

18.5 hours per week
