We are looking for an experienced and motivated senior financial assistant who is seeking further challenges in their career.

Hours:  37 per week

Salary:  Grade 6

The successful candidate will have experience and excellent communication and IT skills.

The main function of the team is to administer charges for bed based care, in line with The Care Act 2014. This involves the processing of financial assessments in accordance with changing legislation, use of financial systems to calculate assessed charges, billing and recovery.

The team also arranges funerals for residents of the Borough who die without family or anyone willing to act for them.

The post holder will be required to assist in managing the staff and functions on the team and provide formal supervision.

The council has a contractual 3 days mandatory unpaid leave which, for the majority of services, are fixed at the Christmas period.  This represents a pay deduction of 1.15% in return for which employees are afforded three days unpaid leave (pro-rata for part time staff).
