Shared Lives Carers
Could you support a young adult in your own home? Do you have a bedroom and bathroom downstairs that is wheel chair accessible and are able you to offer care and support to a vulnerable person?
Walsall Shared Lives Scheme offers people with an assessed social care need the opportunity to be supported in a shared lives carers home as part of a funded care and support package. The scheme offers day time support, overnight stays and longer term/live in placements.
We are currently looking for carers that have ground floor accommodation and the passion and drive to help us improve people’s opportunities and independence, helping them to achieve their aspirations and dreams whilst supporting them through the transition period in their lives from child to Adult and being a valued member of their local society.
Shared lives carers agree to share their home and family life with a vulnerable person in return for a fee, ongoing training and support from the scheme. There are also networking opportunities with other Shared lives carers.
If you feel that this could be you we would like to talk to you about your options.
If you would like further information please contact Sherrie Cremin on 01922 655800 for an informal chat.
