Job Title: Local Works Team Technical Assistant
Salary: £19,006 - £20,572
Full-Time: 35 Hours
Location: Malvern
Temporary: April 2022

This is an exciting opportunity to join our busy Highways Maintenance team as an Technical assistant to assist our Engineers and Senior Technicians in the design and delivery of highway maintenance schemes.

In addition, you'll be required to:
• Develop and maintain effective partnership relationships with contractors and district offices.
• To assist with severe weather/emergency events.
• To investigate Public Enquiries

Working in a varied and fast paced environment, you will use your existing knowledge and experience to support service delivery. And will be based at our our Newland depot in Malvern.

We're looking for a bright and enthusiastic person to join our team that is motivated, and have good communication skills  with the following skills and experience:
• Ability to undertake site surveys, sometimes in difficult weather and on difficult terrain.
• The ability to prioritise work to meet tight or urgent deadlines
• Effective partnership and team working
• Good computer literacy including ability to use standard packages such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

You'll also need to have a valid driving licence (need to drive high visibility County vehicles on high speed roads) with the willingness to travel extensively within the County and to work occasionally outside 'normal office' hours.
