Over the next 2 years we are investing in new projects which will extend early help support for families, integrate adult specialist practitioners into Children's Services, extend support to families in need of support and safeguarding and extend support for our children in care and care leavers.

We are well on the road to good with a stable workforce, manageable caseloads and good supervision. However, we are ambitious and want to be the very best we can be for the children of Warwickshire.

We are looking for practitioners who value family, who understand that family is sacrosanct, the most important part of children's lives and you must be willing to go the extra mile to take a whole family approach.

Four new Caring Dads Facilitator roles have been created as part of our investment in the Safeguarding and Support Service. As a facilitator, you will be involved in implementing and delivering the Caring Dads programme within Warwickshire. You will be trained in group delivery and roll out, and deliver the group across the county.

This programme is designed to enable men to improve their fathering skills and take responsibility for their children’s welfare and safety. It is primarily to develop the father’s relationship with the child and mother to reduce the impact on both. It is also to encourage child centred behaviour, reduce conflict in family life and enable men to become better fathers.

Successful candidates will be delivering the Caring Dads programme throughout Warwickshire. Flexibility will be required as some groups run outside of core office hours.  You will have experience in groupwork delivery and an understanding of the impact of domestic abuse on children and families.

The role requires a relevant professional qualification deemed appropriate by the council such as Probation, Teaching or Professional Social Work qualification and current registration as a social worker with the Social Work England (SWE).

This is an exciting, innovative opportunity. If you want to join a supportive and creative team then apply today.?
