About us & the role

We are a small team comprising of Lead Commissioner Parking and one Senior Appeals and Representations Officer and one Parking Project Engineer.  

We are responsible for on street parking across Warwickshire and managing the contracts that sit within the scope of parking enforcement. We have a main Civil Parking Enforcement Contract that is due to be renewed in November 2021.  


The Role

This role is within the Parking Management Team. The team is responsible for the performance and management of the Civil Parking Enforcement Contract. The successful candidate will primarily monitor and maintain records of the parking finances and update and maintain monthly and annual records and forecast and work closely in support of the Parking Project Engineer and Senior Appeals and Representations Officer to monitor the performance of the service provider against the contract's Key Performance Indicators and to enable the delivery of a service that focuses on good customer service and meeting the objectives of Warwickshire County Council and associated partners/stakeholders.


You will play an active role as part of our parking team working in partnership with our Lead Commissioner Parking Enforcement to deliver our Contract delivery outcomes. You will support the Lead Commissioner Parking in achieving Warwickshire County Council’s (WCC’s) vision and outcomes through strategic planning and the flexible use of resources. Report on delivery of outcomes to stakeholders and council officers as required.  


You will support the Parking Service in monitoring, developing and helping manage WCC’s commissioning approach and contract management outcomes.  You will ensure WCC only commission services and activities that contribute to Warwickshire’s outcomes.  You will ensure that activities that do not contribute to the strategic outcomes are decommissioned. You will ensure that our commissioning intentions are clearly defined, aligned to our new operating model and our One Organisational Plan (OOP).  You will develop and maintain good working relationships with our range of partners including suppliers. You will use your experience to monitor and maintain accurate records of department finance.
