Are you an experienced and passionate Team Leader looking for a change? Or are you a Social Worker looking for career progression?   If so, you could be the person that we are looking for to join our innovative and supportive team.

The Role

You will be responsible for providing supervision and support to 3/4 Early Help Social Workers, overseeing their social work practice, and ensuring and embedding consistent thresholds.

This will be a county wide role supporting the management group and management tasks regarding allocations, duty, chairing relevant meetings, authorisations, supporting practice improvement and development. 

 

You will be part of a supportive and cohesive management group to deliver a safe and effective social work service principled on restorative practice.

 We need a Team Leader who is:

  • Child-centred and has a sound knowledge and experience in - Children and family assessments, complex Child in Need and Child Protection, Care Proceedings, assessment, and management of risk.
  • Motivated and positive leadership qualities, and ideally direct experience of undertaking Supervision and Staff development. 
  • The ability to work as part of a team with colleagues, families, and partner agencies - to safely manage the assessment of families, ensure timely intervention, and to really make a difference in children's lives.   
  • Being proactive, flexible and solution focused in overcoming the challenges
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to meet the varied requirements of the role

If you are an experienced Social Worker and want to further your development, or an existing Team Manager who fancies a change, this could be the opportunity for you. Supervisory experience is desirable, but not essential.
