Stour Vale Academy Trust is seeking to appoint a highly motivated and committed Primary Site Manager. The successful candidate will be based at Newtown Primary School in West Bromwich.  

The post holder will work closely with the Head Teacher and School Business Manager help to manage and be responsible for the maintenance, safety, security and cleanliness of the school premises. Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work on your own initiative are essential, as is a sense of pride in the work environment. A keen eye for detail and a good range of DIY skills is essential for this role. A working knowledge of COSHH and other statutory Health and Safety Regulations is a distinct advantage.

Hours are 37hrs per week, all year round. Opening up the school from 6.30am and locking up at 6.00pm is the usual routine. Lettings and school events during the school week may require later working for which additional hours are paid. This does mean a split shift with a 4 hour break in the middle of the day from 10.30 – 2.30pm.
