Job Details
We are looking to recruit Midday Supervisors to cover the lunch period at The Orchard School on Monday to Fridays to start as soon as possible.
Temporary and Permanent positions:
Salary: Band B SCP 2 - 4 (£18,198- £18,933) pro rata £9.43 - £9.81 per hour
Hours: 8.33 hours per week, term time only - 11.40am-1.20pm Monday-Friday
If you are interested in working with children with complex and profound learning difficulties and can work in a team situation then this may be the job for you. You will be working with the children supervising at lunchtime and assisting with the partaking of food, engaging and encouraging play activities and assisting with children’s hygiene requirements which include toileting and laundry tasks.
Shortlisted candidates will be required to attend school prior to interview for a short
pre-assessment with the children at lunchtime to help decide your suitability for the role.
This will take place on Tuesday 12th January 2021
The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment. The successful applicant will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check. Any offer of appointment will be subject to successful DBS clearance and 2 satisfactory references and a clear Disqualification by association return.
Note: Having gained the relevant experience/training, the successful candidate may have the opportunity to act as a supply classroom assistant via the Templink agency.
