Birches Head Academy wish to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced Inclusion Support Assistant to join our Learning Support Team, helping young people to achieve success through overcoming barriers to learning. The Inclusion Support Assistant is a crucial role within the Learning Support Team providing support through a combination of in class support, small group interventions and one to one mentoring.
A level 3 qualification is desirable preferably; NVQ 3 Childcare, NVQ 3 Training and Development Support, but more important is a good standard of English and Maths (minimum level 2). Previous experience of working with young people is essential and experience of working in an educational setting with students with SEN would be advantageous.
