As well as registering births, deaths and stillbirths, taking notices of marriage and issuing copy certificates we conduct around 2,500 ceremonies a year across Warwickshire in 85 excellent venues approved by Warwickshire County Council.
We’re looking for a Deputy Superintendent Registrar to join us.
About the Role
These roles will be based in the Nuneaton/North Warwickshire and Warwick/Stratford-upon-Avon areas.
You will be responsible for conducting and registering marriages, civil partnerships, naming ceremonies and renewal of vows ceremonies across Warwickshire supporting and guiding couples through their special day. The role will be on a zero-hour contract to work as and when required. The work is very seasonal in nature with most of the work during the summer months and there are no guaranteed hours. You may be required to work on any day of the week including Sundays, public holidays as well as some evening work. A uniform will be provided.
Key Requirements
To be successful in this role you will need good administrative and customer service experience as well as a good standard of education. It’s important you have good communication skills both verbal and written with clear and neat handwriting and can work accurately with excellent attention to detail when personalising ceremony scripts to customer requirements with a flair for creative writing. You will be used to working within a team as well as on your own initiative; be resilient, flexible and able to work with people and confidential information with tact and diplomacy. In addition, it’s important you have good planning and organising skills, and can manage your time effectively and work under pressure. Good IT skills, the ability to travel throughout the county and willing to attend relevant training courses are also required.
