The Brewhouse is a thriving arts centre in the heart of Burton upon Trent. The centre has a wide ranging programme; including professional theatre, cinema, exhibitions as well as a range of community groups and partners that use the building.

We also continue to work to deliver our learning programme and workshops for families, young people and adults alike, aiming to reach new audiences and utilise the fantastic studio spaces we have in the building as well as more recently moving activity online for communities to engage with The Brewhouse from home.

We are looking for musicians, artists and creatives to join our team of workshop leaders to help us deliver a high quality and exciting learning programme and events for local people.

The Multi-Media Project Officer will form part of our delivery team and offer specialisms in music, music production and multi-media skills, with an interest in developing, administering and delivering creative workshops to a range of ages and levels.

The new Casual Multi-Media Project Officers will be responsible for supporting a range of externally funded projects; including, in 2021 & 2022, working with our partners Baby People to deliver a Youth Music Funded programme called Microbeats. Baby People have 20 years experience of delivering community music and arts projects to the most vulnerable and hard to reach young people in their community.

We are particularly interested in those with an interest in developing their skills, both in leading community projects and their own artistic/music practice, that will help you get ahead as a music leader.

You should have previous experience of devising and delivering creative workshops and have an interest or background in working with a range of communities and particularly young people.

There is a need for flexibility and you should have a range of practical, creative skills and/or interest in learning new skills and taking part in Professional Development opportunities to fit with the Arts Centre programme and externally funded projects.

We are looking for enthusiasm and creativity with a desire to work with other musicians and artists, and build friendships to support and develop creative ideas

You will help support the marketing, promotion and development of the Brewhouse arts workshop programme, where possible, to reach as many residents of East Staffordshire.

The hours of work are casual as and when required including weekend and Bank Holidays.
