Do you have what it takes to join our effective, efficient and valued team of cleaning staff? We are looking for somebody who works hard, has high standards and a positive attitude to join the Christ Church family.

The successful candidate will be responsible for cleaning designated areas, individually and as part of a team, to ensure that the school is kept in a clean and hygienic condition. Previous experience of working in this field is preferable but full training will also be given.

The role includes the following tasks: - Mopping - Sweeping - Vacuuming - Buffing - Polishing and Dusting - Emptying of classroom litter bins - Replenishing toiletries in toilet areas etc

The post is for 11.25 hours per week. Monday to Friday 2 hrs 15 minutes per day, 3.30pm to 5.45pm term time, with some deep cleaning work undertaken during specified school holidays.

In the school holidays cleaners carry out their shift in the mornings (at the discretion of the caretaker); hours to be discussed but will include morning shifts. Cleaners work under the supervision of the site manager.

Christ Church Primary School complies with all aspects of the Equality Act and there is an expectation of all staff to also show support the protected characteristics. Any posts are subject to approval of two references and subject to any necessary safeguarding checks.

Our school and all of its personnel are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. This post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure Application to the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).

*Dudley council has a contractual 3 days mandatory unpaid leave which, for the majority of services, are fixed at the Christmas period.  This represents a pay deduction of 1.15% in return for which employees are afforded three days unpaid leave (pro-rata for part time staff).
