King Edward VI School Lichfield is seeking an enthusiastic and talented English teacher to join an exceptional department. With 87% of grades at 9-4, 78% of grades at 9-5 and 33% of grades at 9-7 in GCSE English in 2019, you will be joining a high-performing, collaborative department. Attainment for students in English & Maths at grades 9-4 and 9-5 has been the highest in Staffordshire for non-selective schools in both 2018 and 2019.
English is popular and successful from Key Stage 3 through to our thriving, successful Sixth Form. The appointed teacher will also have the opportunity over time to teach A Level English Language and A Level English Literature in addition to both courses at GCSE level.
We are looking for a teacher with infectious enthusiasm, excellent communication skills with an ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with students, colleagues and parents. We expect the successful candidate to work as part of a team and be willing to participate in all aspects of school life.
