The Role

ASSISTANT HEAD TEACHER (L1-L6) with responsibility for Behaviour and Inclusion Lead across the school – permanent position.

To start April 2021 or as soon as possible, with no teaching commitment for the first 12-18 months and up to 50% teaching commitment thereafter.

This exciting role will offer the right candidate an opportunity to lead on Behaviour and Inclusion across our school. This is a key area of development for the school and will include behaviour and pastoral development, assessment and support, co-ordination of the Inclusion Team, analysis of strengths and areas of improvement and strategic planning. This will be a key role in making the behaviour and pastoral care available at Long Lawford the very best for the children who attend, linking strongly with our core values.

In January 2019, Ofsted said: "Staff in the school are happy and feel well supported by leaders… Staff training is put in place where aspects of teaching need to be improved. This quality of support extends well to those teachers who are new to the profession. The behaviour of pupils is good. The behaviour policy has been recently refined and sets out clear expectations for pupils’ behaviour. Staff operate the rewards and sanctions consistently."

At Long Lawford Primary School, we Love, Learn, Persevere and Succeed!
