Key Requirements

We are seeking to appoint a self-motivated Site Assistant to work with fellow site team staff members to ensure we continue to maintain and develop our outstanding learning and community lettings environment for staff, students and the community.

One thing you need, the ability to liaise with people in a warm and welcoming manner and demonstrate the aptitude to build rapport and interact with people at all levels, including students, fellow colleagues, parents and visitors. It is also a hands on role involving basic maintenance and cleaning alongside safely supervising the facility.

Initially, whilst training, the role will be Monday to Friday full-time 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year covering 7.00am to 10.00pm weekdays as required on a mix of early and later shifts but will on occasions be required to support some weekend work and holiday cover for the 3 site supervisors who operate on a 3 week shift pattern.

The nature of this role requires flexibility as hours worked may vary to accommodate the needs of covering and dovetailing across the site team.
Start date, 1st March 2021 or earlier; Starting salary for a full-time post at Band D is within the Scale Point range 3-4 , £18,562 to £18,933 per annum plus an unsocial hours’ allowance of £600 per annum for additional hours and weekend working.
