Teaching and Learning Support Assistant – Catch-up Intervention Fixed Term Contract to August 2021

Start Date : February 2021

Hours: 32.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, term time only. Monday – Friday.

Salary band (£19,698 - £23,080) pro rata, dependant on experience and qualifications.

The Governors are seeking to appoint a part time Teaching & Learning Support Assistant to help plan and deliver a varied intervention programme. This role has been created to support pupils in years 1-6 whose education has been particularly affected by school closures as a result of Covid-19. You will be required to deliver 1:1 or small group tuition to provide a longer-term contribution to closing the attainment gap. You will work in partnership with senior leaders to support pupils’ progress in identified areas.

We are looking for dedicated people who have excellent communication skills and are passionate about enabling students to reach their full potential.

The successful candidate will:

• Be an excellent classroom support practitioner

• Fully support the ethos of the school.

• Be committed to raising standards of attainment and achievement for all

• Have a caring and friendly nature with a sense of humour

• Be committed to creating an environment that nurtures and stimulates positive attitudes and independence

• Have experience of successfully delivering and monitoring the impact of similar intervention programmes.
