Team Manager First Response

Salary:  £47,845- £51,814 per annum

37 Hours per week – Permanent

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time, Team Manager within Staffordshire Childrens Services front door.

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Team Manager to lead our First Response Team which is situated within the MASH, where we work within a multi-agency partnership providing a professional and quality telephone and web-based referral, advice and duty service.

The service is focused and responsive to the needs of the County’s vulnerable children and their families and will require you to have knowledge of the principles of Early Help, early intervention and prevention and a detailed knowledge of child protection and safeguarding practice. As the single front door to children’s services   you will also need to understand the framework in respect of children who are looked after including Fostering Services and children with Additional needs (Disability Services) and the thresholds for statutory and other interventions.

First Response is at the cutting edge in terms of innovation and over the next twelve months the post holder will be critical in implementing new ways of working which embrace the principles of restorative practice and  providing the right help at the right time.

Good ICT skills are essential and a working knowledge of operating within a MASH environment would be helpful, as would be an understanding of the referral service currently operated by the First Response Team.

The post holder will be expected to work flexibly as required to manage the service effectively.
