Casual Road Safety Assistant
The road safety and travel awareness team deliver a range of road safety and travel awareness education, training and publicity across the Borough of Dudley.
The team are currently looking to appoint a number of road safety assistants, to assist with the delivery of activities and add to it’s existing workforce.
Hours: As and When required
Salary: £9.24 to £10.41 per hour dependant on role undertaken
These are casual posts, required to deliver a range of activities, including some or all of the below:
- Cycle training and cycle maintenance
- Pedestrian training
- Presentations and events
- Independent travel training
Different hourly rates apply to each of the above activities.
The majority of the work offered will be between 9.00am and 3.30pm on weekdays, however due to demand we would like to offer more Saturday morning training sessions. This will require some flexibility and availability on weekends in order to meet the needs of the service.
Ideally candidates will have experience working with young people or adults in a training environment, an interest in road safety, and the ability to transport themselves and equipment to locations throughout the Borough.
Candidates will also need good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, school staff and trainees of varying ages.
Training will be given for each specific job role.
